Sims Freeplay | Royalty Update Has Arrived!

A magnificent castle has appeared shrouded in mystery!  Only those who are chivalrous, valiant and honourable can lift the curse upon it and become the King or Queen.  Hurry, Sim Town is waiting for the rightful heir to the throne!

Oooo, how excited are you for this? Personally, I can't wait!  So what's new?

  • Lower the drawbridge and open the gate to the majestic Northern Glade Castle! Complete the Royal Lineage quest to explore the castle at level 14+.
  • Take the throne as the King or Queen of Sim Town! Create your royal family with perfect princesses and playful princes.
  • Be covered in fairy dust from magical and mischievous fairies. Complete the Royal Lineage quest to welcome pet fairies to your family!
  • Hit a bullseye in the new archery hobby.  Become an archery master to unlock spectacular statues for your courtyard garden.
  • Entertain royalty as a hilarious Jester. Perform side splitting dances and acts to unlock the throne room.
  • Ascend to the throne room to issue decrees! Take rule and affect Sim Town in new and exciting ways.
  • Dazzle onlookers with jewel-studded crowns, gorgeous flowing gowns and commanding royal attire!

This sounds amazing! We can get pet fairies! I love this.  I've currently just starting building my castle which can be found on the Mysterious Island.  It cost me $200,000 and will take 1 day 20 hours to build but I'm unsure if that's a fixed price and time or if that will change depending upon how many other builds you have on your island.

Sims Freeplay Northern Glade Castle Royalty Update

I'll keep you posted on the Royal Lineage quest when I receive it and all the other exciting new stuff!

What do you think of the update?  I read a lot of people complaining when the trailer (check it out here) came out saying they want more 'realistic' type stuff and they didn't like this update.  I love to know your thoughts now it been released.

Sims Freeplay | Sous Judgemental

Level Required | 16
Unlocks | Restaurant
Time Limit |  7 days
Prize | Chefs Outfits

After completing Preparing For Preteens Quest you will unlock Sous Judgemental quest.  This quest will unlock another location in Sim Town - the restaurant.  It's a great addition to the town and I think this quest is really fun.  The time limit is 7 days to unlock the prize of the chefs outfits and that is easily done.  I love it when we get a quest where we can relax slightly and know it's reasonably easy to gain the limited time prize.

The first task of the quest is to build the restaurant and OMG it looks a bit of a state when you do build it and it clearly needs some cleaning out!

A toddler making mud pie in the garden patch.

What would Wumples like to eat?

What does Santa like to eat?

Serving quiche to the Grouch
Once you have completed Sous Judgemental you will need to repair the restaurant which will take quite some time!

Sims Freeplay | Royalty Update

Can you become Royalty?

Update | The Royalty Update has now arrived! Check it out here.

A new update is coming soon to The Sims Freeplay as the official trailer has been released.  This update is the Royalty Update and by the looks of the trailer there will be a new location for the Sims to hang out - a magnificent castle including a courtyard and throne room.

A Tinkerbell-look-a-like fairy guides us through the trailer suggesting a fairy may have some part in the update.

There are many wonderful costumes on show in the trailer which may be included in the update and by the looks of it, the idea is for one of the new hobbies is to become King or Queen.  I think there could also be a jester hobby.

What are your thoughts on the update?  I'd love to hear them down in the comments.

Sims Freeplay | Preparing For Preteens

Level Required | 15
Unlocks | Preteens
Time Limit | None
Prize | None

You must complete the previous quest In Da Clubhouse and all other quests before this quest becomes available to you.

It's an unlimited time quest which unlocks the preteens, which means you can grow your toddlers in to preteens.  It's great to have an unlimited time quest as if you're like me you want to win all the limited time prizes and it can get quite stressful!  Now's the time to relax and take a breath with out needed o rush through the tasks.

Word of warning - you will need a toddler for the next quest - Sous Judgemental, so don't age up those toddlers just yet.

Sims Freeplay | Ringlets Of Fire Quest

The Ringlets Of Fire Quest was originally available on 21st August 2014 but it is now back for a limited time! 7th - 14th March 2015. It is for all those players who didn't manage to complete it the last time round or, if like me you've restarted your game or weren't playing back in August.

The quest unlocks 9 styles of long hair which are a really nice addition to the collection so I'd definatly recommend completing this task - although it's not going to be easy. To win each hairstyle you have to complete the fashion hobby - that means 9 hairstyles, 9 completed fashion hobby collections. Yeah, you heard that right, 9 times within the 7 day limit!

If you already have a Sim at level 6 fashion designer this is definately going to help you as you won't need to wait for the various designs to become unlocked.

I'd recommend having multiple Fashion Design Studios in one house and just completing the 10 minute option over and over.

To begin this quest you first need to click on the 'Yes' on the pop up that will appear, then you can get started.

There are a few things you need to do before you start creating fashion designs. Here's the task list:

Talk to a Sim - 1 minute
Spot long haired Sims on T.V - 5 minutes
Email the long haired celebrity Sims - 2 minutes
Buy a Fashion Studio - from Promotions R Us for $2500
Create 1 fashion design - 10 minutes
Create a complete outfit set - one row of the collection
Create all four outfits - complete the collection

This unlocks the first hairstyle.

You must keep on doing the fashion hobby and complete it a whopping 9 times to get all 9 hairstyles so you best get to it!

My tips for completing this in time are:
Have more than one Sim working on it
Have multiple Fashion Design Studios set up in one house
Complete the 10 minute option over and over agin if you can as you will find the most designs doing it this way
Get at least one Sim up to level 6 Fashion Designer so that all the designs are unlocked
Keep going! This one is definitely about perseverance!

Good luck! Let me know if you complete this in the time limit.
