Who can do horse tricks?  

 

Adults.

 

What do I need for a Sim to take part in horse tricks?

 

You need to build the stables and clear the land at the horse trick area (the rectangular one, top left).  Once you've cleared the land, you need to fix the gate and buy a 1 star horse.
 

What will I unlock?

 

When you complete the horse tricks ribbon collection for the first time you will unlock 2 star horses which are required to take part in the horse valuting hobby. 

 

What is the horse tricks option?

This is different depending on the level of horse you use but for a 1 star horse it is 3 hours.
 

 

What are the horse trick levels?

1. Horse Servant
2. Neighbourly Friend
3. Obedience Trainer
4. Sideshow Rider
5. Trick Master
6. Horse Whisperer

How do I collect horse trick ribbons?

 

Click on a horse at the stables and select the 'Horse tricks' option.  Your Sim and horse will then enter the horse tricks area and practise.

What if I can't find one of the ribbons?

 

Keep going! Collecting the ribbons is completely random and there is no special trick to collecting them quicker you just have to keep trying.

Once you have completed the Horse Tricks hobby you will unlock the horse vaulting hobby.

Sims Freeplay The Rainbow Rider

The Rainbow Rider event starts on 21st February 2015 and has a time limit of 7 days.  Once the 7 days are up the event will disappear.

To take part in this event you must have completed the Hidden Unicorn Quest and unlocked the Show Jumping hobby. To unlock the Show Jumping hobby you must have completed both the horse tricks  and the horse vaulting hobbies.

 

This pop up will appear and when you select 'YES' your show jumping collection will be reset.  You can select 'NO' but this will not stop the timer.

 

You will need a 3 star horse to take part in this event.

The aim of this event is to complete the Show Jumping hobby collection in the 7 days time limit and if you manage it you will unlock a rainbow unicorn.

This is a simple event that simply requires you to keep showjumping until you have collected all the ribbons.

• Win a ribbon in show jumping - 6 hours
• Have 3 unique ribbons (keep show jumping until you find 2 more different ribbons)
• Have 6 unique ribbons (find 3 more different ribbons)
• Have 9 unique ribbons (find 3 more different ribbons)
• Have all 12 ribbons (find the last 3 different ribbons)

Sims Freeplay | The Hidden Unicorn Quest

You need to complete the Need For Steed quest before this quest as Need For Steed unlocks the stables. 

The time limit for the limited prize of the unicorn rocking horse is 6 days.  You can complete the quest after the time limit but you won't unlock the rocking horse.

This quest unlocks the In Da Clubhouse quest. 

 

The Hidden Unicorn quest needs to be completed in order to unlock the Rainbow Rider Event starting on 21st February 2015

Sims Freeplay | Showjumping Hobby

Who can show jump?

What do I need for a Sim to be a show jumper?

 

You need to build the stables on the mysterious island.  Once you have this built you need a 3 star horse and to build and clear the show jumping area.

 

What will I unlock?

 

When you complete the diving medal collection for the first time you will unlock diving boards to use at home. 

 

What are the show jumping options?

You only have one option which is 7 hours.

How do I collect show jumping ribbons?

 

Click on a horse and select the 'Show jumping' option for 7 hours.   When the Sim has finished an exclamation mark appears, you need to click the '!', and you will be rewarded with a ribbon.

Sims Freeplay | Diving Hobby

Who can dive?  

 

Preteens, teens and adults.

 

What do I need for a Sim to be a diver?

 

You need to build the swim center and click on the diving boards at the main pool. 
 

 

What will I unlock?

 

When you complete the diving medal collection for the first time you will unlock diving boards to use at home. 

 

What are the diving options?

• Brief leap - 10 minutes
• Aquatic lunges - 1 hour
• Disciplined dive - 12 hours
• All day dive - 1 day

How do I collect diving medals?

 

Click on the diving board at the swim center and select an option. When the Sim has finished an exclamation mark appears, you need to click the '!', your Sim will dive into the pool and you will receive a medal

Sims Freeplay | Firefighter Career

Before you can begin the Fire Fighter career you have to build the Fire Station.

There are 5 levels of each career and you will earn you more money and XP as you progress through the levels.

The levels of the Firefighter career are:

1. Fire Bug - which you earn $1020 and 480XP for each day a work.
2. Firefighter - which you earn $1120 820XP for each day at work.
3. Firefighter Instructor - which you earn $1230 and 1170XP for each day at work.
4. Fire Captain - which you earn $1360 and 1340XP for each day at work.
5. Fire Chief - which you earn $1500 and 1500XP for each day at work.

 

You can buy a Fire Hydrant from Promotions R Us for $1800 to help improve your level.

 



Sims Freeplay | Ballet Hobby

Who can do ballet?

Preteens

What do I need for a Sim to be a ballet dancer?

You can practise ballet at the community centre or at home using the record player, which can be purchased from the preteen section, for 10LPs.
At the community center you need to click on ballet related objects (record player and ballet barre) which are on the right hand side of the downstairs.

 

 

What are the ballet options?

Record player:

• One pirouette - 10 minutes
• Quick pirouette - 1 hour
• Pirouettes - 6 hours
• Extensive pirouettes - 12 hours

Ballet Barre:

• Stretch - 30 seconds

What are the ballet levels?

1. All left feet (pink outfit)
2. Novice (pink outfit)
3. Intermediate (white outfit)
4. Advanced (white outfit)

What items are there to collect?

This is slightly different from other hobbies in that you don't collect medals or other collectibles but you unlock ballet themed items as you level up your Sims ballet skill.

Sims Freeplay | The Rainbow Unicorn Event

The Rainbow Unicorn Event is coming on 21st February and there may be some things you want to try and complete to prepare for the event.

 

The Rainbow Unicorn Event is available from level 14 onwards and requires you to have:

• Completed the 'Hidden Unicorn' quest
• Unlocked the 'Show Jumping' hobby

The hobby will reset at the start, so you can't prepare the collection.

 

 

This event will be a hobby quest involving the 'Show Jumping' hobby.  You will be required to collect X ribbons and the time limit will be 7 days.

 

The reward for completing the event is unlocking the Rainbow Unicorn, which will cost a whopping 120LPs!  The Rainbow Unicorn can inspire Sims, much like the Singing Salmon.  The difference is that it can also inspire Toddlers and it's recharge time is 1 hour. 

 

The Rainbow Unicorn is also a 3 star horse and can be used like all the other horses at the stables.

The final day of Sims Freeplay Lunar New Year Quest is finally here and it's the day of the big reunion dinner.  The house has been swept, the decorations have been bought and it's time to cook the red and exchange the red packets you've been collecting over the past 6 days.

Here are the tasks you must complete today.

Have 4 Sims in a House - It’s time for the Lunar New Year family reunion dinner! The Sims have been looking forward to the big event!  Have 4 Sims in the same house.

Cook Reunion Dinner - Wonderful! The food is pre-prepared for cooking so only the finishing touches remain to be done.  Using a stove, select 'Cook Reunion Dinner'. Make sure there is a clear surface nearby for your Sim to place it. 10 hours

Call Sims to Meal - After an incredible effort, the reunion dinner is ready and it smells amazing!
Tap on the plates and choose 'Call to Meal'. Make sure the dinner table is nearby and every Sim has enough seats. 10 minutes

Exchange Red Packets - Delicious! Having the Sims together and celebrating the Lunar New Year like this was worth the effort. One thing remains… To exchange the red packets! 'Exchange Red Packets’ with another Sim. 1 minute

Your reunion dinner is fast approaching in Sims Freeplay Lunar New Year Quest and there's some last minute cleaning up and decorating to be done.  Let's take a look at todays tasks.

Find 8 Red Packets - Now that the final guest has been invited, more red packets are needed.
Cheer for the lion dancers in the park until you earn another 8 red packets. 10 minutes for each cheer. Chance to find 1-3 red packets on each cheer.

Sweep Floors with a Broom - Uh-oh, your Sim forgot to clean the kitchen floor!
Remember how they swept the floors earlier by using the broom inside the classic cupboard? If you can't find your classic cupboard, buy another in the 'Counter Tops' category of the Home Store.
Select the cupboard and choose 'Sweep House'. 3 hours 30 minutes
 

Buy 2 Red Lanterns § 4000 each - There is no better decoration for the Lunar New Year than a couple of red lanterns.  Buy two of them from the 'Lighting' category of the Home Store.)

Have 2 Sims Sweeping Floors - The house still looks a little dirty, but maybe a friend can help clean.  Have 2 Sims sweeping floors at the same time. Remember to use a classic cupboard and press 'Sweep House'.  3 hrs 30 mins, but completes as soon as second Sim starts

Wonderful! Everything is ready for the Lunar New Year reunion dinner! Come back in X hrs (after midnight) to celebrate the big event!

Sims Freeplay | It's All Going Swimmingly

This quest becomes available at level 13 and after completing Quest For Toddlers. All the previous tasks must be completed too.

I think this task is way too long! If you check out the list of tasks there are some long tasks in there and the total time it would take you to complete the tasks is around 5 days 11 hours and that's without building the swim center.  Personally, I didn't complete this in time as my swim center took 1 day 6 hours to build so there wasn't enough time in the quest to win the limited time prize of the volleyball pool set.

Sims Freeplay Lunar New Year Day 5

Day 5 of Sims Freeplay Lunar New Year quest has arrived and today it's all about figuring out who your missing guest could be for your big family reunion dinner.  There are a fair few tasks to complete today but most of them are relatively short.

Use SimBook on a Computer - Even after all of that contemplation, they still can’t remember who they forgot to invite. Maybe browsing the friends list on SimBook will help remind them.

Read Private Message on a Computer - There's a private message on SimBook! It's from… a Sim-eating plant? But… your Sim isn't even friends with a Sim-eating plant! How strange.  Select 'Read Private Message' on a computer.  6 mins 24 secs

Private Message Received!  "Dear <Sim>, I know who is missing from your guest list. I'll tell you who it is, but only if you can do something to make me laugh."

Grow and Harvest Watermelons - How could the Sim-eating plant possibly know who’s missing from the guest list? Well, just ignore it for now and go back to preparing food for the dinner.
Grow and harvest watermelons in a garden patch. 1 hour

Ask a Sim-Eating Plant About Guest List - Hey, it’s the Sim-eating plant! But, it shouldn’t appear when you grow watermelons! Maybe it really does know who your Sim forgot.  Ask it who’s missing from the guest list.  8 minutes

 

Dance for the Sim-Eating Plant - That’s right, it will only say who’s missing from the guest list if your Sim makes it laugh. What's funnier than a chicken dance? Exactly, nothing!

Do the chicken dance for the Sim-eating plant. 8 hours 30 minutes

Invite Final Guest on a Phone - That’s right! While inside the Sim-eating plant's belly, your Sim remembered who was missing from the guest list! Wow… all of that being upside down must have jogged their memory.  Call the final guest to the Lunar New Year reunion dinner.  10 minutes

Todays task is simple.  There is only one thing you need to do.  Go to the park and cheer for the lion dancers - like you did on the first day of the quest.

Find 12 Red Packets Wow there are more Sims coming to this reunion dinner that first thought! More red packets are going to be needed.  Find 12 red packets by cheering for the lion dancers. 10 minutes for each cheer, 1-3 packets given per cheer.

While collecting the final red packet your Sim thought of somebody whom they may have forgotten from the Lunar New Year dinner guest list!  The problem is they can't remember their name.

Read Cookie Recipe Book from a Bookshelf. - Huh, apparently Sims love Plumbob Cookies. No really, that’s what the internet actually says. Anyway, look for the recipe in the "Cookie Recipe Book" on a bookshelf. 12 minutes

Bake Cookies in a Stove - Your Sim has the cookie recipe memorized. It’s time to get baking!
Have a Sim bake cookies in a stove. 1 minute

Send Invitations on a Computer - The dinner is coming along great and your Sim is ready to move onto something else. Oh, invitations! They should really be sent out to family.
Use a computer to 'Send Invitations' on SimBook. 4 minutes

Invite Family by Phone - Okay, family was invited through SimBook, but not everybody uses it. They should also be called.  Invite them by pressing 'Invite Family' from a telephone. 3 hours 30 minutes

Your Sim has sent off the invitations for the family reunion!

So you've completed Day 1 of Lunar New Year quest.  You're getting prepared for a fabulous reunion dinner to celebrate. What tasks lies ahead today?

 Ask a Sim About Red Packets - It’s a new Lunar New Year tradition in Sim Town to give each other red packets filled with Simoleons at a reunion dinner. To do that, your Sims need more of them.
Have a Sim ask another about where to get red packets from. 1 minute

Have 3 Sims Cheer for the Lion Dancers - Apparently, you can’t buy red packets just anywhere! Hmm… they need to get red packets some other way. Idea! The lion dancers threw some red packets into the air after your Sim cheered for them. Try it again!  Have 3 Sims cheer for the lion dancers. 10 minutes

 

 Call Mom on a Phone - It worked! The lion dancers gave your Sims more red packets to be exchanged during the reunion dinner. Speaking of which, they need to prepare a little more.

Hmm... how do you prepare that special family dish again? Call Mom and find out! 1 minute.

Grow Onions - Okay, the first ingredient you’re going to need for the family reunion dinner is fresh onion.  Grow some onion in a garden patch. 7 hours

Go Fishing & 'Settle In' - Your Sims would like to have some nice fresh fish for the reunion dinner too! Go to the park, then have your Sim 'Settle In' and use the fishing rod by the lake. 9 hours

That fish looks delicious! Your Sims are going to enjoy that at the Lunar New Year reunion dinner for sure!

Sims Freeplay is celebrating Chinese New Year with a Lunar New Year quest.  The quest unlocks on 14 February and runs until 20 February 2015. The prize for completing the quest is a lion costume that 2 of your Sims can wear.

The quest is separated in to separate days and you are required to complete tasks on each day in order to unlock the prize.  Here are each days set of tasks.

There are red lanterns hung around the park along with a dancing lion on the park bridge.  These red lanterns become available for purchase during the quest from the 'Featured' section of the store.

 

 

Day 1 - 14 February 2015

 

Visit the park - Lunar New Year is almost upon us! Sim Town is celebrating by having some lion dancers perform in the park. Go to the park and check it out!

 

 

 

Cheer for the lion dancers - The lion dancers look magnificent! Have a Sim 'Cheer' for the lion dancers. 1 hour 10 mins

Discuss Lunar New Year - being Sim Towns first ever Lunar New Year, some of your Sims aren't sure how to celebrate it. Discuss lunar new year with another Sim. 1 minute

 

Buy a classic cupboard - Lunar New Year in Sim Town is about bringing the family together for a reunion dinner. Hang on, a reunion dinner? But your Sim hasn't cleaned the house yet! Buy a classic cupboard in the 'Counter Tops' section of the Home Store and place it in the house.

 

 

 

Sweep the house - Great! Now tap on the classic cupboard and select 'sweep house.' 3 hours 30 mins

Cheer for the lion dancers - Much better! Okay, one of your Sims wants to go to the park to watch the lion dancers again. Cheer for the lion at the park. 3 mins

A red packet? It sounds like there's money inside! Perhaps the lion meant it as a gift for your sim. How wonderful!

Day 2 - 15 February tasks

 

Sims Freeplay | Quest For Toddlers

This quest becomes available at level 12 after completing the Need For Steed quest and all previous quests.  It allows you to develop your babies into toddlers.  A toddler is needed for In Da Clubhouse which is a quest coming up soon so I recommend as soon as you complete this quest you turn one of your babies into a toddler in order to give you a head start for that quest.

 

The prize for completing the quest in the time limit is a cute dress up chest for your toddlers which includes various dressing up clothes including a bee, a robot, a panda or a dinosaur.

The next quest is All Going Swimmingly, which becomes available at level 13 and will unlock swimming pools.

Sims Freeplay | Need For Steed Quest

Level Required | 11
Unlocks | Stables & horse hobby
Time limit | 7 days
Prize | Rainbow Unicorn Painting

Need For Steed is the longest quest so far with a time limit of 7 days.  There are quite a few long tasks to complete though so 7 days is definitely required.

As part of this quest you purchase your first horse.  Once you have a horse your Sims can take part in the horse hobbies which are Horse Vaulting and Horse Tricks.

 

The next quest to unlock is the Quest For Toddlers.  For this task you are required to build the Pet Shop so I would recommend you start building that as soon as possible in order to prepare.
