This is the second quest which is unlocked at level 7.  You will need to complete the Breadwinner quest before this one becomes available.

After you have completed all the tasks in the quest you can grow the Simoleon Sprout and Life Point Lotus plants on a garden patch.  The Simoleon Sprout costs S250 to grow, gives you a money reward between S350 and S15,000 depending upon the combination of fruit you spin and you can grow it every 4 hours. The Life Point Lotus costs real money (currently £0.79) and gives you a LP reward.

The next quest, which will become available after completing Money Grows On Trees is the Love Is In The Air quest which allows your Sims to get married.
