The steps leading up to the castle
The back balcony of the castle
The locked Throne Room
Once the Royal Gallery has been opened you can start working on the Jester hobby. The Jester hobby works in a similar way to the Toddler Playhouse hobby where you only have one option to begin with, 'Dance' for 4 hours 30 minutes and once you have completed one row you will gain access to the next option and so on.
Once you have completed the Jester hobby the Throne Room will become available to build (only on or after 2nd April 2015) The Throne Room costs $300,00 and takes 1 day to build.
The Throne Room gives access to a few new things.
Royal clothing
The Royal Fireplace
The Throne to make decrees
I'll show you the throne room on 2nd April once I have access to it.
As part of the Royalty Update we gained a new hobby for our Sims to take part in - Archery
Who can be an archer?
Preteens, teens and adults.
What do I need for a Sim to be a archer?
You need to build Northern Glade castle on Mysterious Island and complete the Royal Lineage quest.
What will I unlock?
When you complete the archery collection for the first time you unlock the 4 statues in the garden and once you build them you can access the Royal Gallery.
What are the archery options?
There is only one option for taking part in archery and that is 'Practice Archery' for 7 hours 30 minutes. There are 2 targets so you can have 2 Sims learning the archery hobby at one time.
What are the levels?
1.
2. Wonky Shooter
3. Hit & Miss
4. Hot Shot
5. Bullseye Hero
6. The Chosen One
How do I collect archery achievements?
Click on a target to the left or right of the castle after you've opened the drawbridge and select 'Practice Archery.' When the Sim has finished an exclamation mark appears, you need to click the '!', your Sim will attempt a shot at the target and you will receive an achievement.
.
What achievements are there to collect?
In the archery hobby there are 12 collectibles to collect with each row of three giving you access to a new statue to build around the archery area.
Level 1 Misfire
Level 1 Peg Leg
Level 2 On The Board
Collecting these three gives you access to the Archer's Statue which costs $35,000 and takes 4 hours to build.
Level 2 Eye On The Prize
Level 3 Snake Eyes
Level 3 Middle Master
Collecting these three gives you access to the Jester's Statue which costs $50,000 and takes 6 hours to build
Level 4 Triple Threat
Level 4 Three's Company
Level 5 Sure Shot
Collecting these three gives you access to the Prince's Statue which costs $75,000 and takes 8 hours to build
Level 5 Divisive Hit
Level 6 Side Splitter
Level 6 Sherwood's Finest
Collecting these three gives you access to the Princesses Statue which costs $125,000 and takes 10 hours to build
What do I win?
First time you complete the collection you gain access to Northern Glade Castle
Subsequent times you will receive 3LPs
What if I can't find one of the achievements?
You just gotta keep going I'm afraid. Collecting the achievements is completely random and there is no special trick to collecting them quicker. I would recommend having two Sims completing the hobby though in an attempt to get them faster.
Watch the video if you'd like to see the Archery hobby in action.
So your Sims have had a baby? What on earth do you do with it? How do you care for it?
To get babies you must first complete the Two & A Half Sims Quest. To create a baby you need a cot placed in the house of a married couple. There will be a blue 'Add Sim' circle above the cot which you need to click on.
Creating a baby costs 3LPs and takes a day for the stork to deliver the new baby to your house. Once the baby arrives you create the Sim as you would an adult Sim. You can decide the gender, it's first name (it automatically takes the surname of it's parents), eye and skin colour and outfit.
Once you have your baby it stays in it's cot until another Sim interacts with it. There are several interactions a Sim can have with a baby.
Change Diaper | which takes 8 seconds and improves the Hygiene need.
Cuddle | which takes 30 seconds and improves the Social need.
Entertain | which takes 1 minute and improves the Entertainment need.
Feed | which takes 2 minutes and improves the Hunger need.
There is nothing you can do for the Bladder need. The baby will use its diaper to fill it's bladder need and then you will have to change the babies diaper.
When you click on the baby you have several options.
Ultimate Makeover | which costs 12LP and enables you to change the babies name, gender, eye and skin colour and outfit.
Have Birthday | which takes 3 seconds and turns the baby into a toddler. You must have baked a birthday cake first, which costs 5LP and takes a day to bake, and completed the Quest For Toddlers.
Go to Sleep | which takes 4 hours and improves the Energy need.
Hibernate | which takes 24 hours and also improves the Energy need.
What do I need for a Sim to take part in the Playhouse hobby?
You need to build the swim center to use the playhouse over by the kids pool the first time you complete this hobby. Once the collection has been completed once you can buy the playhouse for 20LPs and place in any home
What will I unlock?
When you complete the teddy collection for the first time you will unlock the toddler playhouse which you can place in any house.
What are the options?
2 Little Bears - 50 minutes
Cat Holiday - 1 hour
Monster Mansion - 2 hours
Supersim Hideout - 4 hours
The first time you do this hobby you will only be able to access the 2 Little Bears option. Each time you complete a row by finding the 3 toys you will unlock the next option.
What are the levels?
Reservoir cat
Cat person
Citizen cat
Lasagne ninja cat
Simshire cat
Catspeare
How do I collect the toys?
Click on the playhouse at the swim center and select an option. When the Sim has finished an exclamation mark appears, you need to click the '!', your Sim will have collected a toy.
.
What toys are there to collect?
You will collect different toys depending upon which option you choose.
2 Little Bears - Grinn N. Bearit, Stronglive Bear, Simulator Bear Cat Holiday - Catspeare, Reservior Cat, Citizen Cat Monsters Mansion - Simzilla, The Wolf Sim, Dr Frankensim Supersim Hideout - Captain Simtown, Judge Sim, Supersim
What do I win?
First time you complete the collection you unlock the toddler playhouse to put in your houses
Second time you receive 6 LPs
What if I can't find one of the toys?
All I can suggest is that you keep going. Collecting the toys is completely random and there is no special trick to collecting them quicker.
Pet Fairies arrived into Sims Freeplay in the Royalty Update in March 2015. To gain access to the fairies you first need to build North Glade Castle and complete the Royal Lineage quest within the 7 day time limit.
So let's take a look at these new pets...
They can be found in the Pet Store and there are 4 different fairies to choose from.
The cheapest is the 1 star Green Fairy which costs $25,000
Next up is the 2 star Blue Fairy which costs £50,000
My personal favourite is the 3 star Pink Fairy which costs $150,000
And last but not least is another 3 star fairy - the Purple Fairy which costs 30 Social Points
Once you buy your fairy you need to choose a household for it to belong to and a notification will pop up saying to place the flower. If you head over to the household you place the fairy there will be a flower outside the house the corresponding colour of the fairy. These flowers take 24 hours to turn into a fairy.
Click the video if you'd like to see the fairies in action.
Did you finish the Royal Lineage quest within the time limit to win the fairies? Which one's your favourite?
