Sims Freeplay | Archery Hobby

As part of the Royalty Update we gained a new hobby for our Sims to take part in - Archery

Who can be an archer?
Preteens, teens and adults.

What do I need for a Sim to be a archer?

You need to build Northern Glade castle on Mysterious Island and complete the Royal Lineage quest.

What will I unlock?

When you complete the archery collection for the first time you unlock the 4 statues in the garden and once you build them you can access the Royal Gallery.

What are the archery options?

There is only one option for taking part in archery and that is 'Practice Archery' for 7 hours 30 minutes.  There are 2 targets so you can have 2 Sims learning the archery hobby at one time.

What are the levels?

1.
2. Wonky Shooter
3. Hit & Miss
4. Hot Shot
5. Bullseye Hero
6. The Chosen One

How do I collect archery achievements?

Click on a target to the left or right of the castle after you've opened the drawbridge and select 'Practice Archery.' When the Sim has finished an exclamation mark appears, you need to click the '!', your Sim will attempt a shot at the target and you will receive an achievement.
.
What achievements are there to collect?

In the archery hobby there are 12 collectibles to collect with each row of three giving you access to a new statue to build around the archery area.

Level 1 Misfire
Level 1 Peg Leg
Level 2 On The Board
Collecting these three gives you access to the Archer's Statue which costs $35,000 and takes 4 hours to build.

What if I can't find one of the achievements?

You just gotta keep going I'm afraid.   Collecting the achievements is completely random and there is no special trick to collecting them quicker. I would recommend having two Sims completing the hobby though in an attempt to get them faster.

Watch the video if you'd like to see the Archery hobby in action.

  1. {Archery TAG} provides over 6000 square feet of fun. It includes a competitive playing field, a shooting range for target practice, and realistic environments to deliver the best interactive archery experience. Step beyond our 15 foot metal fence and feel the adrenaline rush, as you and your friends battle it out Hunger Games style on 5000 square feet of artificial grass landscape.

  2. Once you complete the full set is it good to change hobbies to work on something new?
